St. Maarten boasts some 37 beaches, most of which are to be found on the French side of St. Martin. Of course these differ quite a lot: very calm waters or a turbulent surf, wide or narrow, long or short. But there is one thing in common: the beaches are clean, the sand is a dazzling white and the water is crystal clear.
Orient Bay, located on the French side, belongs to one of the best known, busiest and most beautiful beaches in St. Maarten. On the beach there are several restaurants and bars, often with live music. There are lots of opportunities for water sports, among them jet skiing and parasailing and it goes without saying that you can swim and snorkel. At the southern end of the beach near the naturists’ resort of “Club Orient” it is possible to recreate nudely without objections.
